Evolve Developer seeks demolition of Heritage Nugget Factory - asking VCAT to overturn HBCC decision
VCAT P3193/2012 - application for review of Hobsons Bay Council’s rejection of application to demolish the Nugget Factory and clear the land around it. - HBCC Ref: PA1225139
NUGGETT Factory Alert - part of Former Port Phillip Woollen Mill Site development PAS C86 is threatened with demolition.
Council rejected the developer's application to knock down the Nugget Factory and URBIS/EVOLVE have gone straight to VCAT to get the decision reviewed. So number 3 of 17 applications has found its way to VCAT - so much for Matthew Guy saying Council will decide these planning matters.
If any objectors haven't received paperwork from URBIS send an email to:
and we will forward the documents.
There is an important matter being considered in the Supreme Court in which Stonnington Council is challenging VCAT giving less importance to multiple objections. Guy adds weight to objections over Armadale complex YES MINISTER - ALL objectors voices should be heard by VCAT.
VCAT has strict time limits and the developer is asking for a short hearing. The Nuggett Factory is heritage as has been explained previously and this is HERITAGE WILLIAMSTOWN.. Loved by tourists as witnessed by thousands last weekend... No room for 2000 more residents on the Pt Gellibrand Peninsula.
